Merkinės krašto muziejus kartu su partneriais įgyvendino projektą "XX a. IV dešimtmečio Merkinė virtualioje realybėje". Projekto metu sukurta virtualios realybės patirtis leidžia geriau pažinti prieškario Merkinės gyvenimą, jos architektūrą, žmones, istorijas.

Žaidimo trukmė apie 10 minučių. Vystant šią patirtį naudotasi gausiu fotografijų archyvu, išlikusiomis istorijomis, žmonių pasakojimais. Projektą įgyvendinti padėjo vienas iš stipriausių Lietuvoje tokių projektų vystytojų UAB „MultimediaMark" komanda, kurią sudaro ne tik it specialistai, bet ir dailininkai, grafinio dizaino specialistai, scenaristai.

Virtualios realybės patirtį kviečiame išbandyti gruodžio 18 d. 16 val. Merkinės krašto muziejuje. Visai netrukus ją bus galima atsisiųsti ir į namus ir pasivaikščioti po anų laikų Merkinę tiesiog prie namų kompiuterio.

Patirtis ypač sudominti turėtų vaikus ir jaunesnio amžiaus asmenis.

Merkinės krašto muziejuje tai jau ne pirmoji virtuali realybė. 2020-2023 m. sukurtos patirtys skirtos Lietuvos partizanų bei Merkinės pilies temoms. Na ir jos tikrai labai populiarios tarp lankytojų: su malonumu jas išbando ne tik vaikai, jaunimas, bet ir vyresni muziejaus lankytojai, dažniausiai patvirtinantys, kad virtualios realybės eksponatas jiems patiko.
